Approve Change Order #1 in the amount of $1,923.15 with E-J Builders, Inc., for the Interior Renovations of Courtroom No. 7 in the Baldwin County Courthouse Located in Bay Minette, Alabama and authorize the Chairman to execute Change Order.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date: 

11/20/2018 meeting:  Approved the fee proposal received for architectural services from Adams Stewart Architects, LLC, for the remodel of Courtroom No. 7 in the Baldwin County Courthouse located in Bay Minette, Alabama in the amount of 9% of the cost estimate plus normal reimbursable expenses, and authorized the Chairman to execute the fee proposal.

 

03/06/2019 meeting: Approved the final design of the Baldwin County Courthouse Courtroom No. 7 Remodel located in Bay Minette and authorized the Purchasing Director and Architect to bid the project.

 

05/07/2019 meeting: Awarded Bid #WG19-33 - Interior Renovations of Courtroom No. 7 in the Baldwin County Courthouse Located in Bay Minette, Alabama to the lowest bidder, E-J Builders, Inc., in the base bid amount of $128,170.00; Construction Time: 10 weeks, and authorized the Chairman to execute all necessary documents.

 

Background:  The Architect, Todd Stewart is submitting for Commission approval Change Order #1 in the amount of $1,923.15 for work that was uncovered during demolition process as listed on the attached memo from the Architect.  The original construction cost is $128,170.00 including Change Order #1 the new cost will be $130,093.15.
