BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date: N/A
Background: Currently, the speed zones along these sections of County Road 112 are confusing to motorists and in need of clarification. Speed studies were performed and the proposed speed limits are appropriate relative to the density of residents in these areas. The first 700 feet of County Road 112 is within the city limits of Bay Minette and the Bay Minette Police Department currently enforces a 35 MPH limit there. The Bay Minette Police Department has been contacted and they concur with these recommendations. The remainder of County Road 112 is within the jurisdiction of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
This item was discussed during the work session on July 9, 2019.
