STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Authorize the Chairman to execute an Agreement between the Baldwin County Commission and the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program, which appropriates $15,000.00 from the Commission Contingency Fund - General Contingency, in Baldwin County Fiscal Year 2018-2019, to the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program for a production of a short film which will promote wise stewardship of the water quality and living resources of Alabama’s estuaries and coast and to highlight the varying perspectives related to the fate of the 600-acre Barry Steam Plant coal ash pond.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date:  N/A

 

Background:  The Mobile Bay National Estuary Program has requested funding assistance from the Baldwin County Commission related to the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program’s production of a short film in the amount of $15,000.00 (see attached request). 

 

The appropriation of $15,000.00 is proposed to be made from the Commission Contingency Fund - General Contingency, and by an Agreement between the Baldwin County Commission and Mobile Bay National Estuary Program.

Total cost of recommendation:  $15,000.00
