STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Proposal Agreement for Initial Facility Assessment to assess the existing 911 call center for reuse.  This proposal agreement will be considered valid for sixty (60) days from date of issue.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date:  N/A

 

Background:  Brian Pierce, Coroner respectfully requests the Baldwin County Commission to approve the Proposal Agreement for Initial Facility Assessment Agreement with Crime Lab Design to assess the existing 911 call center for reuse to provide the space needed to support the required coroner staff and operations and to get a quick idea of potential costs of renovation and/or expansion. 

 

Resolution #2019-135 is being presented to the Commission in a separate item at the August 13, 2019 Work Session.  The resolution includes a budget amendment to fund the Facility Assessment by moving budgeted funds from 51105, Commission Contingency, to 52400, Coroner’s Office.
