Recommendation

Consider the request from Elberta High School’s Athletic Director, Greg Seibert, for the Commission’s financial support related to auditorium and locker room renovations at the Elberta High School.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date:  N/A

 

Background:  Mr. Seibert is requesting funding assistance for the athletics program at Elberta High School as the program goes from Class 2A to Class 5A.  The funds would go towards renovating the auditorium and converting the existing library into a varsity locker room.  The school has received a matching grant promise from the Snook Foundation (the Snook Foundation would match the amount of money raised by the school as of September 4th).  Mr. Seibert’s request is for $25,000.00, but his letter indicates that any assistance of any monetary amount would be greatly appreciated.
