STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
To accomplish the provisions set forth in the Alabama Department of Environmental Management Coastal Area Program, Division 335-8 regulations, and Resolution #2015-011 of the Baldwin County Commission, take the following actions:
1. Re-appoint Mr. J. Martin Pitts, PE, as a regular member of the Baldwin County Coastal Area Program/ADEM Board of Adjustments and Appeals for a pro-rata reduced five (5) year term, such term commencing on November 5, 2019, and expiring on November 5, 2024; and
2. Re-appoint Mr. Mark Acreman, PE, as a regular member of the Baldwin County Coastal Area Program/ADEM Board of Adjustments and Appeals for a pro-rata reduced five (5) year term, such term commencing on November 5, 2019, and expiring on November 5, 2024; and
3. Re-appoint, Mr. Cliff Pitman, as a regular member of the Baldwin County Coastal Area Program/ADEM Board of Adjustments and Appeals for a pro-rata reduced five (5) year term, such term commencing on November 5, 2019, and expiring on November 5, 2024; and
4. Re-appoint Mr. Timothy Barnhill, as a regular member of the Baldwin County Coastal Area Program/ADEM Board of Adjustments and Appeals for a pro-rata reduced five (5) year term, such term commencing on November 5, 2019, and expiring on November 5, 2024; and
5. Re-appoint Mr. Richard Peterson, PE, as a regular member of the Baldwin County Coastal Area Program/ADEM Board of Adjustments and Appeals for a pro-rata reduced five (5) year term, such term commencing on November 5, 2019, and expiring on November 5, 2024; and
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date: N/A
Background: On October 7, 2014, the Baldwin County Commission, signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Alabama Department of Environmental Management and passed Resolution #2015-011, allowing the Baldwin County/Coastal Area Program to be delegated. In doing so, the Baldwin County Commission/Coastal Area Program must have a Board of Adjustment and Appeals to address issues not in compliance with Division 335-8 regulations and Resolution #2015-011. The current Board is set to expire on November 4, 2019.
The current term expires on November 4, 2019.
