BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Previous Commission action/date:  N/A

Background:  BRATS’ purpose for this transfer request is to make better use of underutilized vehicles due to the loss of a human service organization contract.  Bus 19 is no longer necessary to meet our program demand.  Upon reaching out to various state transit partners to research if any agencies were in need of additional vehicles, University of Alabama at Huntsville responded with interest for Bus 19.  On August 13, 2019, after securing the fair market value from Creative Bus Sales, BRATS Director of Transportation, Matthew Brown, requested approval from the Alabama Department of Transportation for the transfer of this vehicle and received approval on October 23, 2019, for said transfer.
