Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1. Award bid for Project No. BCP 0205418 - Bridge Replacement on Bridge Replacement on Fred Dugger Road Over Unnamed Tributary to Negro Creek to the lowest bidder, Pope Contracting, Inc., in the Bid Amount of $873,786.25; Construction Time: 90 working days; and authorize the Chairman to execute the Contract.
2. Adopt budget Resolution #2020-029 to move funding from Fiscal Year 2020 project 0222519 in the amount of $200,000.00 to Fiscal Year 2019 project 0205418.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date:
10/01/2019 meeting: 1) Authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for approaches on Fred Dugger Road once plans and contract documents are complete.
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on November 5, 2019, at 2:30 P. M. Two (2) bids were received. The lowest bid was received from Pope Contracting, Inc., in the bid amount of $873,786.25. The Baldwin County Engineer, Joey Nunnally, has reviewed the bid responses and has submitted the certified Bid Tabulation and a letter recommending that the bid be awarded to the lowest bidder, Pope Contracting, Inc. Bid Tabulation attached.
Staff is requesting that the Commission approve and authorize the Chairman to sign budget Resolution #2020-029 to move funding from Fiscal Year 2020 project 0222519 in the amount of $200,000.00 to Fiscal Year 2019 project 0205418.
