STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve an Intergovernmental Service Agreement between Baldwin County and the Town of Summerdale for funding assistance to install a traffic signal at the intersection of County Road 28 and State Route 59. (This agreement shall become effective upon the date of full execution by both parties and terminate twenty-four (24) months from its effective date.)

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date:  N/A

 

Background:  The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) and the Baldwin County Highway Department have determined the need for a traffic signal at the intersection of County Road 28 and State Route 59 in Summerdale. The Town of Summerdale has agreed to assist in the funding of this project in the amount of $75,000.00.

 

The Town of Summerdale will maintain the signal after installation.
