Previous Commission action/date: N/A.
Background: The City of Foley signed a resolution on October 24, 2019, approving the adjustment of the speed limit on South Hickory Street between US Highway 98 and Charolais Road from 30 MPH to 35 MPH. This was done in conjunction with Baldwin County’s proposed lowering of the speed limit on the County maintained section of South Hickory Street from south of County Road 26 to Charolais Road from 45 MPH to 35 MPH. These changes by both the City and the County will create a consistent speed along South Hickory Street.
