Recommendation

Approve Grant Agreement Number: AL-CG-20-006 between the Baldwin County Commission and Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs in the amount of $20,000 for the Baldwin County 2020 Census Outreach project. The agreement is effective on January 1, 2020 and will expire June 20, 2020.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date:  October 15, 2019

 

Background:  On October 15, 2019 the Commission took the following action to confirm, ratify, and approve the submission of the Alabama Counts 2020 Census Grant Program application and the execution of related documents to Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADEDA), requesting grant funds in the amount of $20,000 with up to $20,000 match of either cash or in-kind services.  This grant application is in partnership with the Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance (BCEDA) and will be for 2020 Census outreach activities and materials for Baldwin County.

 

At this time staff has received the grant agreement from ADECA and is requesting commission approval to accept the funds.

Total cost of recommendation:  Incoming revenue $20,000.
