Recommendation

Award the bid per the attached Award Listings for each category of headings to C.R. Pate Logging, Inc.; Graestone Aggregates, LLC; Martin Marietta; and Vulcan Materials Company, for the Provision of Crushed Aggregates.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date: 

11/19/2019 meeting: 1) Approved the specifications and authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Provision of Crushed Aggregates; and 2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.

 

Background:  Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on December 6, 2019, at 1:30 P.M.  Four (4) bids were received.  Bids were tabulated and the award recommendations are attached for review.  Award recommendations are based on supply location and transportation cost in determining the award recommendations.  Award Listings attached.
