Adopt the revised Baldwin County Commission Policy #2.10 - Polling Place Hours/Poll Worker Compensation and make said policy a part of the Baldwin County Commission Policies and Procedures Book.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date: February 7, 2012 - Last BCC Revision to Policy #2.10.
Background: Staff received a request from Violetta Smith, Elections Coordinator, on behalf of Honorable Harry D’Olive, Baldwin County Judge of Probate, to increase the amount of Chief Clerks that are appointed for elections from ten (10) to twenty (20). With the addition of new polling locations in Baldwin County in the recent years, the Probate Judge and Elections Coordinator feel the increase is necessary in order to serve the public during elections more efficiently.
This policy revision was brought up and discussed during the January 28, 2020, BCC Work Session.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Total cost of recommendation: $135.00 per each additional Chief Clerk appointed, per election day. If all 10 additional Chief Clerks are utilized for upcoming elections this year (2020 General Election Cycle), the cost increase for each election will be $1,350.00.
