BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date:
07/16/2019 meeting: 1) Confirmed, ratified, and approved the grant application documents submitted to U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service for the Morgantown Boardwalk Coastal Grant Application executed by the Chairman on July 3, 2019; and 2) Authorized the Chairman to sign any additional grant application documents required regarding the above grant.
08/20/2019 meeting: 1) Accepted the Grant Award of $15,875.00 from the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service to assist in the funding of a boardwalk extension project at Morgantown Public Park in Fort Morgan; and 2) Authorized the Chairman to sign any project related documents that may be required.
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on February 18, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. Four (4) bids were received. The lowest bid was received from Blade Construction, LLC, in the bid amount of $83,762.20. The Baldwin County Engineer, Joey Nunnally, has reviewed the bid responses and has submitted the certified Bid Tabulation and a letter recommending that the bid be awarded to the lowest bidder, Blade Construction, LLC. Another Morgantown project, 0206719 was also budgeted 50,000.00 in Fiscal Year 2019. 0206719 was completed in Fiscal Year 2019 and had a left-over budget balance of 35,382.00. The surplus funds from 0206719 will be used to fund the full cost of 0214119.
