Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Approve the Purchasing Manager to place a competitive bid for the Fernwood Drive West Drainage Improvements; and
2) Approve the Chairman to execute any project related documents.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date:
June 6, 2017: The Commission approved the Chairman sending a letter to the United States Navy requesting an easement to construct a detention pond near Sunrise Subdivision to address flooding conditions in the area.
November 6, 2018: The Commission authorized the Chairman to execute a Construction Agreement with Sunrise Property Owners’ Association; and authorized the Chairman to sign any other project related documents.
Background:
Citizens and a local business have contacted the County, City of Foley and the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) seeking help to stop water damage to their properties due to several flooding events in the area. After review, it was determined a detention pond and drainage system would help to alleviate the flooding conditions.
