Adopt Resolution #2020-068 opposing House Bill 39 and Senate Bill 47 related to the issuance of concealed carry permits within the State of Alabama.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date:  The Commission received correspondence from Sheriff Mack on February 21, 2020 (attached), requesting for the Commission to adopt a resolution in opposition to House Bill 39 and Senate Bill 47 (attached), which were recently introduced in the Alabama Legislature. 

 

Sheriff Mack attended the February 26, 2020, work session to discuss the matter.  At this time, Sheriff Mack is requesting the Commission to consider the adoption of Resolution #2020-068 opposing House Bill 39 and Senate Bill 47 related to the issuance of concealed carry permits within the State of Alabama.
