Recommendation

Approve the Intergovernmental Service Agreement between Baldwin County Commission and the City of Spanish Fort for Area 100 Maintenance Crews to repair shoulders on the following roads inside the corporate limits of the City of Spanish Fort:

 

Bromley Road

County Road 39

Jimmy Faulkner Drive

 

The City of Spanish Fort will be billed quarterly for the actual cost of the work performed.

 

(The term of this agreement shall be for twenty-four months from the date of full execution of both parties and may be terminated as set forth therein.)

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date:  September 18, 2018; June 4, 2019

 

Background:  The City of Spanish Fort is requesting assistance from Baldwin County to repair shoulders on several roads inside the City of Spanish Fort Limits. The City will be billed the actual cost of work performed by County Crews.

 

The City and County also have an Intergovernmental Service Agreement for mowing certain roads within Spanish Fort Corporate Limits.

 

June 4, 2019 - The Commission approved an Intergovernmental Service Agreement between the Baldwin County Commission and the City of Spanish Fort for Area 100 Maintenance Crews to mow Bromley Road, County Road 39, D’Olive Road and Jimmy Faulkner Drive, inside the corporate limits of the City of Spanish Fort. The City of Spanish Fort will be billed quarterly for the actual cost of the work performed. (The term of this agreement shall be for twenty-four months from its effective date upon the date of full execution of both parties and may be terminated as set forth therein.

 

September 18, 2018 - The Commission approved an Intergovernmental Service Agreement between the Baldwin County Commission and the City of Spanish Fort for Area 100 Maintenance Crews to brush mow Spanish Oaks Drive West, Walling Road, Stanton Road, Driftwood Lane, Spanish Lane and Huckleberry Lane inside the corporate limits of the City. The agreement will be for a period of twenty-four months. The City will be billed the actual cost of work performed by County Crews.
