BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date: March 3, 2020 - BCC Regular Meeting
Background: Miller Lane, Miflin Creek Road, North Magnolia Street, Cabinet Shop Road, Kingway Road, Lake Shore Drive, Gulf View Drive and a section of Faircloth Road are recent dirt road paving projects. Faircloth Road, County Road 69 and County Rd 69 W are currently unposted roads. An engineering study was performed and the recommended speeds are appropriate relative to the length and geometry of each road.
Sonoma Ridge Subdivision, Phase 1, is currently posted 20 MPH. Phase 2 was recently accepted by the County and is currently posted by design at 25 MPH. The speed limit in Phase 2 is being lowered to match the speed limit in Phase 1. An engineering study was performed for the roads in the Sonoma Subdivision and the recommended speeds are appropriate relative to the length and geometry of each road.
