STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Approve the Highway Department Engineering staff to prepare and submit an application for the Fiscal Year 2021 Transportation Alternatives Set-aside Program, to extend the Eastern Shore Trail from the US Highway 98 Bridge over Fish River approximately 1.85 miles to Pleasant View Lane; and
2) Approve Resolution #2020-084 and a Letter of Intent to apply for Federal Funds; and
3) Approve the Chairman to sign any project related documents, as needed.

Background:
The Alabama Department of Transportation has placed a “Call for Applications” for the Fiscal Year 2021 Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program. The program has up to $640,000.00 of Federal Funding Available at an 80/20 Match.
