BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date:
Background:
Chatelaine Road is a previously unposted road. It is located in Threemile Oaks subdivision. No design speed is designated on the subdivision plans.
County Road 26, Gap Weekly Road, Higbee Road and Mannich Lane are recent dirt road paving projects.
County Road 93 has inconsistent speed zones between Sunset Drive and Faircloth Road. The southbound speed is posted at 45 MPH and the northbound speed is posted at 35 MPH.
Hill Road has inconsistencies in its speed zones. A short (0.23 mile) section of Hill Road is posted at 25 MPH and the remaining 0.77 miles is posted at 45 MPH.
An engineering study was performed for each road and the recommended speeds are appropriate relative to the length and geometry of each road. A letter of notification will be sent to each police jurisdiction for the above roads.
