Recommendation

Adopt Resolution #2021-013, which APPROVES Case TA-20002, as it pertains to amendments to Article 7 and Article 22 of the Baldwin County Zoning Ordinance, relating to off-street parking requirements in the TR, Tourist Resort District.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date:  N/A

 

Background:  Based on recent discussions new regulatory language pertaining to off-street parking requirements for the TR, Tourist Resort District, has been drafted as proposed text amendments to the Baldwin County Zoning Ordinance (Article 7 and Article 22).  The purpose is to allow off-street parking spaces located on abutting/contiguous parcels to be included in the parking calculations for permitted uses and structures which are zoned TR, Tourist Resort District.  If approved additional notations will be made to Articles 15 and 23 as needed and required.

 

The Planning Commission considered this case on November 5, 2020, and voted to recommend APPROVAL to the County Commission.  The text of the proposed amendments is included as an attachment to this agenda item.
