STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve the sale of the following surplus equipment to Chambers County Commission:

 

1) American Steel Works Pull Behind Sheepfoot Roller in the amount of $2,800.00 from Area 200 Highway Maintenance Facility; and

 

2) Young’s Pull-Type Pneumatic Roller (PT-13W) in the amount of $2,200.00 from Area 100 Highway Maintenance Facility.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date:  N/A

 

Background:  Chambers County Commission is requesting to purchase the following surplus rollers from the Baldwin County Highway Department:

 

1) American Steel Works Pull Behind Sheepfoot Roller - J.M. Wood Auction Value $3,500.00 - Sale Price $2,800.00

 

2) Young’s Pull-Type Pneumatic Roller - J.M. Wood Auction Value $2,750.00 - Sale Price $2,200.00

 

Per Baldwin County Commission Policy #8.8, the sale price for the surplus equipment shall be 80% of the asset’s fair market value.
