Recommendation
Extend Bid #WG19-39 - Annual Sand Removal, Sifting and Disposition of Sand from County Right-of-Ways onto the Beach on the Fort Morgan Peninsula with CrowderGulf, LLC, for an additional twelve (12) months at the same prices and terms as the original bid award on July 2, 2019. The Contract extension will expire on July 2, 2022.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date:
05/21/2019 meeting: 1) Approved the specifications and authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Annual Sand Removal, Sifting and Disposition of Sand from County Right-of-Ways onto the Beach on the Fort Morgan Peninsula; and
2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.
07/02/2019 meeting: Awarded the bid to CrowderGulf, LLC, as per the attached Award Listing for the Annual Sand Removal, Sifting, and Disposition of Sand from County Right-of-Ways onto the Beach on the Fort Morgan Peninsula and authorized the Chairman to execute the Contract. (Effective date of Contract begins on the same date as its full execution for twenty-four months with a twelve (12) month renewal option).
Background: The bid for the Annual Sand Removal, Sifting and Disposition of sand from County Right-of-ways onto the Beach on the Fort Morgan Peninsula was awarded to CrowderGulf, LLC., on July 2, 2019, for twenty-four (24) months. The bid specifications contained a stipulation that the bid could be extended for one (1) twelve (12) month contract by the Commission at their option, if acceptable by the vendor. Any additional contract or extensions will be at the same prices and terms stated in the original bid. The vendor, CrowderGulf, LLC, who was awarded the bid, has submitted a letter agreeing to extend the bid prices for an additional twelve (12) months. The contract extension will expire on July 2, 2022. The current Contract is attached for your review.
