STAFF RECOMMENDATION

 

 

Recommendation

Take the following actions:

 

1)  Authorize the Chairman to execute the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit Renewal for Magnolia Sanitary Landfill, Permit No. AL 0069345; and

 

2)  Authorize the Clerk Treasurer to issue a check to Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) for permit fees in the amount of $7,060.00.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date:  February 16, 2016

 

Background:  NPDES permit is current and set to expire on January 31, 2022.  Per ADEM requirement the permit application must be submitted 180 days prior to expiration date.  IP3 Plan and EPA Forms attached for execution.

Total cost of recommendation:  $7,060.00
