BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date:
05/04/2021 meeting: 1) Approved the specifications and authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Provision of Finished Road Signs; and 2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid was advertised.
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on May 23, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. Two (2) bids were received. One (1) bid was received from an out-of-state company that is not registered with the Alabama Secretary of State as a Foreign Corporation to do business in Alabama. Staff recommends the Commission award the bid for the Provision of Finished Road Signs to the lowest responsible bidder, Vulcan, Inc., as per the attached Award Listing.
