STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Authorize staff to release the Surety Document (Maintenance Bond) from Hartford Fire Insurance Company on behalf of Cunningham DeLaney Construction, LLC for Fairhope Falls, Phase 2 in the amount of $241,479.26 which guarantees the workmanship and materials of the roadway and drainage improvements within the public right-of-way as shown on the approved Final Plat and “As-Built” construction plans.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date: September 3, 2019  

 

Background:  The Commission accepted Sophie Falls Avenue (1209.01 LF), Sutherland Circle (632.72 LF), Hatchet Creek Avenue (614.69 LF), and Landry Lane (810.28 LF) in Fairhope Falls, Phase 2 and authorized said roads to be added to the County Maintenance List. The Commission also approved the Subdivision Roadway and Drainage Improvements Acceptance Agreement and accepted a surety document from Hartford Fire Insurance Company on behalf of Cunningham DeLaney Construction, LLC in the amount of $241,479.26 to guarantee the workmanship and materials of the roadways and drainage improvements with the public rights-of-way as shown on the approved Final Plat and “As-Built” construction plans.

 

The workmanship and materials for the roadways and drainage improvements have been inspected and approved in accordance with the Baldwin County Subdivision Regulations.
