STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Adopt Resolution #2022-006 and authorize the Chairman to execute an agreement between the Baldwin County Commission and the Alabama Department of Transportation for the funding of Preliminary Engineering, Construction and Construction Engineering Inspection for the County Road 99 Shoulder Widening from County Road 91 to Carrier Drive

 

This agreement shall be effective upon full execution and shall be in effect until the project has been completed and reimbursements are complete. This agreement may be terminated by either party upon delivery of a thirty (30) day notice of termination.

Background: 

The Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization has allocated funding for shoulder widening on County Road 99 in the Lillian Community. The resolution and agreement cover the Preliminary Engineering, Utility, Construction and Construction Inspection phase of the project.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

 

Total cost of recommendation:  The estimated cost for this project is $672,841.25 with $538,273.00 coming from Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization funds and $134,568.25 coming from Baldwin County.
