BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date:
12/21/2021: Awarded the bid for the Purchase and Installation of one (1) new 200 kW Natural Gas Generator for the Baldwin County Annex IV Building located in Bay Minette to the lowest bidder, Weaver Electric, Inc., in the bid amount of $99,200.00 and authorized the Chairman to execute the Contract.
11/16/2021: 1) Approved the specifications and authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the purchase and installation of one (1) new 200 kW natural gas generator for the Baldwin County Annex IV building located in Bay Minette, Alabama; and 2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.
Background: The CIS Department is submitting for Commission approval Change Order #1 in the amount of $4,667.00 on the purchase and installation of a new 200kw natural gas generator for the Annex IV building. The change order is for adding a remote annunciator to the panel box which will enable the operational status and parameters of the generator system to be sent to another location remote from the generator location.
The original project cost was $99,200.00 including this Change Order the project cost will be $103,867.00. The Commission approved during the FY 2022 budget $137,000.00 for the purchase of this generator for CIS.
