BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date:
04/16/22 meeting: 1) Approved the specifications and authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the provision of the fleet fuel management program; and 2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on May 10, 2022, at 2:00 PM. Two (2) bids were received. The bid received from Davison Fuels & Oil, LLC, had several major exceptions as listed on the attached bid tabulation. The lowest responsible bid was received from The McPherson Companies, Inc. This will be a three (3) year bid set to expire on June 7, 2025. Staff recommends the Commission award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder, The McPherson Companies, Inc., per the attached Award Listing. Bid Tabulation attached for review.
