STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Related to the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce - Outdoor Expo - Discover North Baldwin event, take the following actions:
1) Authorize North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce to host its first Outdoor Expo - Discover North Baldwin event at the Baldwin County Bicentennial Park in Stockton, Alabama, on Friday, April 21, 2023, and Saturday, April 22, 2023, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 2:00 p.m. each day; and
2) Authorize waiving all applicable usage fees.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Staff received a Bicentennial Park *reservation form on July 7, 2022, from Kristina Pittman, Executive Director for the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, requesting the use of Bicentennial Park for an Outdoor Expo - Discover North Baldwin event in April 2023. With the growing interest in North Baldwin County, the North Baldwin Chamber is planning its first ever Outdoor Expo - Discover North Baldwin.
The Outdoor Expo is an event that will bring the entire community together to experience and explore outdoor sports and activities for men, women and children. The Expo will include vendors that specialize in outdoor products and activities including hunting supplies and equipment, ATV’s, fishing tackle, camping products and so much more.
The Expo is a great opportunity for us to show off North Baldwin County, Bay Minette, and local businesses to a wide audience by not only bringing vendors to the area, but also encouraging visitors to experience North Baldwin County firsthand.
Approximately 1,500 people are expected to be in attendance.
The North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce is the responsible party for the event per the executed Indemnification form attached.
*The year on the reservation form was inadvertently entered as 2022 instead of 2023 by the applicant.
An email request to change the initial reservation dates from April 14 - 15, 2023, to April 21 - 22, 2023, was received on August 10, 2022.
