Recommendation
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the list of Highway Department equipment for sale by auction (Exhibit A) at the J.M. Wood Auction facility in Montgomery, Alabama on September 20-22, 2022.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: There is a $183,000.00 Gross Guarantee for the attached Highway Department auction equipment (Exhibit A) for the September 20-22, 2022, auction. Per the contract, there will be a 6% commission deducted from the proceeds.
Previous Commission action/date:
December 17, 2019: Approved and authorized the Chairman to execute the Auction Sales Agreement between J.M. Wood Auction Company, Inc., and the Baldwin County Commission, which is applicable to all departments of the Commission, with all future equipment inventory lists being brought to the Commission for approval. (This Agreement became effective January 1, 2020, and will terminate twelve (12) months from its effective date with an automatic renewal for an additional two (2) years, in one (1) year increments, unless cancelled by either party with a 30 day written notice prior to contract renewal.) The Commission also approved and authorized the Chairman to execute the lists of Highway Department and Solid Waste Department equipment for sale by auction at the J.M. Wood Auction facility in Montgomery, Alabama, on March 17-21, 2020.
January 5, 2021: Approved and authorized the Chairman to execute the list of Highway Department equipment for sale by auction at the J.M. Wood Auction facility in Montgomery, Alabama, on March 16-20, 2021.
November 16, 2021: Approved and authorized the Chairman to execute the list of Highway Department equipment for sale by auction (Exhibit A) at the J.M. Wood Auction facility in Montgomery, Alabama, on December 7-8, 2021.
February 15, 2022: Approved and authorized the Chairman to execute the list of Highway Department equipment for sale by auction (Exhibit A) at the J.M. Wood Auction facility in Montgomery, Alabama, on March 15-19, 2022.
March 2, 2022: Approved and authorized the Chairman to execute the list of Highway Department equipment for sale by auction (Exhibit A) at the J.M. Wood Auction facility in Montgomery, Alabama, on March 15-19, 2022.
March 15, 2022: Approved the amended list of Highway Department equipment for sale by auction (Exhibit A) approved during the March 2, 2022, regular meeting, to reflect the change in auction dates from March 15-19, 2022, to June 14-16, 2022, at the J.M. Wood Auction facility in Montgomery, Alabama.
May 17, 2022: Approved and authorized the Chairman to execute the list of Highway Department equipment for sale by auction (Exhibit A) at the J.M. Wood Auction facility in Montgomery, Alabama, on June 14-16, 2022.
