STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

As requested by the Honorable Teddy Faust, Jr., Baldwin County Revenue Commissioner, take the following actions related to Certified Payment Service Provider Agreement:

1)  Terminate the Certified Payment Service Provider Agreement, effective September 30, 2022, between Certified Payments, a division of Accelerated Card Company, LLC and the Baldwin County Commission (Revenue Commission Office), which was originally approved by the Baldwin County Commission on July 16, 2019; and

2)  Authorize the Chairman to execute a written notification of termination to Certified Payments, a Division of Accelerated Card Company, LLC terminating the Agreement between the parties.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  The Certified Payments ACH Processing Services Agreement was originally approved by the Commission on July 16, 2019. As authorized in the addendum, either party may terminate this Agreement, with or without cause, by giving thirty (30) days written notice of termination to the other party. Revenue Commissioner Teddy J. Faust, Jr., has previously provided a written notice to terminate the Agreement by his letter of intent to terminate to Certified Payments, dated July 27, 2022, and requests the Commission to take the above action to formalize the termination of this Agreement for the record.
