STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Determine that the bid protest for Competitive Bid #WG22-49 - Provision of Pest Control for the Baldwin County Commission is not in the public interest and does not present clear and convincing evidence of fraud, misrepresentation, other illegality or gross impropriety in the selection of a bid. End
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Reason for replacement: Staff recommendation updated by County Attorney.
The Commission awarded the bid for the Provision of Pest Control Services to the lowest bidder during the August 2, 2022, meeting. Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on July 11, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. Five (5) bids were received. The lowest bid was received from Guardian Pest Services, Inc., d/b/a Knox Pest Control as per the attached Bid Tabulation. Award Listing attached for review.
Previous Commission action/date:
06/21/2022 meeting: 1) Approved the specifications for the Provision of Pest Control Services and authorized the Purchasing Director place a competitive bid; and 2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commission for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums for clarifications
if required after the bid is advertised.
08/02/2022 meeting: Awarded the bid to the lowest bidder, Guardian Pest Services, Inc., d/b/a Knox Pest Control for the Provision of Pest Control Services as per the attached Award Listing.
