BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date:
11/01/2022 meeting: 1) Approved the specifications and authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Provision of Police Vehicle Equipment for the Baldwin County Commission; and 2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on November 18, 2022, at 1:30 P.M. Two (2) bids were received. The lowest responsible bidder, Dana Safety Supply, Inc., met all the specifications. The Jotto computer cable equipment bid by Prologic ITS, Inc., is not interchangeable with the current Gamble console equipment that is in all Sheriff’s Department vehicles. Staff recommends the Commission award the bid to lowest responsible bidder, Dana Safety Supply, Inc., who met all the specifications, as per the attached Award Listing.
