STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Approve the specifications and authorize the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the purchase of one (1) new 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD Z71 or equivalent for District 3 Commissioner with the funding source from Commission Contingency Funds and the sale of District 3 Commissioner’s 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe to the Solid Waste Department; and
2) Further, authorize the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The District 3 Commissioner has requested that a competitive bid be placed for the purchase of one (1) new 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD Z71 for their District. At this time no Chevrolet Tahoe’s can be purchased off the State of Alabama Contract so therefore, a competitive bid will need to be placed for the purchase of the vehicle. The vehicle that is currently being driven by the Commissioner will be sold to the Solid Waste Department at 80% of Kelley’s Blue Book value with the remaining funding to come from Commission Contingency Funds.
