STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Approve the requested parade route for the Krewe of Mullet Mates (KOMM) 23rd Annual Mardi Gras Parade on February 18, 2023. The parade will begin at Mullet Point Park at 2:00 p.m., traveling South along County Road 1, past Mary Ann Beach Road and continuing to Pelican Point Park (Weeks Bay) parking lot.
The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office will assist with traffic control and the Fairhope Boy Scouts Troop #47 will provide clean up after the parade.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date: December 7, 2021
Background: Ms. Amanda Concannon, KOMM Parade Chairman, submitted a written request to the Baldwin County Commission to hold their 23rd Annual Krewe of Mullet Mates Parade on February 18, 2023. The Boy Scouts have provided the clean up after the parade and will continue the same tradition this year. The Sheriff’s Office will provide security for this event.
