STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Adopt Resolution #2023-046 and approve a funding agreement for Preliminary Engineering and Construction of the Highway 98 Eastern Shore Trail Extension from the east side of the Fish River Bridge to Pleasant View Lane.
This agreement shall be effective upon full execution and shall be in effect until the project and reimbursements are completed.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Highway Department has been awarded funding under the Highway Infrastructure Program to extend the Eastern Shore Trail from the east side of the Fish River Bridge to Pleasant View Lane. The estimated project cost is $791,312.50. Under the program, the estimated Federal contribution (80%) will be $633,050.00 and the County’s portion (20%) will be $158,262.50.
