STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Take the following actions: 

1)  Reject all bids received because the bid specifications did not meet Law Enforcement parameters and video storage requirements and authorize the Purchasing Director to re-bid for the Purchase of Fifty-two (52) Body Cameras and Mounts for the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office; and

2) Further, authorize the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on April 14, 2023, at 1:30 P.M.  Four (4) bids were received.  The bid received did not meet the law enforcement parameters and video storage requirements.  Staff recommendation is to reject the bids received and re-bid once the bid specifications are revised.

 

Previous Commission action/date: 

03/21/2023 meeting:  Approved the specifications and authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Purchase of Fifty-Two (52) Body Cameras and Mounts; and further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid was advertised.
