Recommendation
Award the bid to the lowest bidder, Nations Roof Central, LLC, for the Competitive Bid #WG23-27 - Labor and Incidental Materials for Roof Repairs and Maintenance to Various County Buildings per the Award Listing and authorize the Chairman to execute the contract.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on April 19, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. Three (3) bids were received. Staff recommends the Commission award the bid for the Labor and Incidental Materials for Roof Repairs and Maintenance to Various County Buildings to the lowest bidder, Nations Roof Central, LLC, per the attached Award Listing and authorize the Chairman to execute the contract. Bid Tabulation attached for review. This project will be funded from Building Maintenance budget 10051555.55240 and Corrections Center budget 10052200.55240.
Previous Commission action/date:
03/21/2023 Meeting: Approved the specifications and authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for labor and incidental materials for roof repairs and maintenance to various County buildings; and further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid was advertised; and approved and authorized the Purchasing Director to issue a Purchase Order to Garland/DBS, Inc. in the amount of $385,877.61 but not to exceed $390,000.00 for the roofing materials which are being purchased via the OMNIA Partners Public Sector national purchasing cooperative.
