Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a letter of support to Auburn University for the Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium Proposal entitled “Inequities in pollution exposure: examining the relationship between onsite wastewater system prevalence and water contamination.”

Background: Auburn University contacted the County’s Natural Resource Planner requesting a letter of support for the Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium Proposal entitled “Inequities in pollution exposure: examining the relationship between onsite wastewater system prevalence and water contamination.” This critical and exciting work will be beneficial for Baldwin County’s Planning and Zoning Department in its efforts to understand the relationship between septic tanks and water pollution and determine avenues to help mitigate the potential impacts in the future.
