Recommendation
Approve the submittal of the Alabama Tourism Department 2023 Community Grants Application by Archives Department staff on behalf of the Baldwin County Commission requesting $10,000.00 in grant funds for community-wide events and festivals.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: If the grant is awarded, the fund’s acceptance along with any agreement and related documents will be brought back for Commission approval.
The 2023 Tourism Community Grants program is designed to attract out-of-state tourists and generate revenues by promoting attendance at community-wide special events. If awarded, the requested funds will be used to continue to market Bicentennial Park through county-wide events and festivals.
