Recommendation
Adopt Resolution #2024-099 of the Baldwin County Commission allocating up to $300,000.00 (29870070.55110/55210/55410) of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Revenue Replacement funds (298.44881) for the public improvements at the Old Vaughn School property located at 55260 County Road 21, Stockton, Alabama. BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: In accordance with the Final Rule issued by the U.S. Department of Treasury on January 6, 2022, the County has duly elected to take the standard allowance of revenue replacement funds equal to $10,000,000 of its ARPA funds (“ARPA revenue replacement funds”).
The Highway Department submitted a request to the Commission to fund public improvements at the Old Vaughn School property located at 55260 County Road 21, Stockton, Alabama. Said improvements include the disposal fee from the Baldwin County Board of Education’s demolition of the Old Vaughn School, and associated restroom and playground equipment upgrades.
