BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Highway Department is requesting that the Commission approve the attached solicitation for professional services for the engineering / environmental services for the Fish River Watershed Sediment and Stormwater Project - Summerdale Stormwater Pond. The Summerdale Stormwater Pond project’s principal purpose is to reduce sediment runoff and improve stormwater runoff in the Fish River Watershed. This location was identified in the Baldwin County Watershed Modeling Analysis by Hydro Engineering Solutions (site JN1) as part of the regional detention project by Baldwin County. Staff recommends the Commission approve the RFQ and authorize the Purchasing Director to advertise.
Previous Commission action/date:
08/16/2022 meeting: 1) Waived Baldwin County Commission #9.10 - Engineering, Environmental Monitoring and Surveying Services; and 2) Approved on-call consultant Hydro Engineering Solutions (Hydro, LLC) to perform a regional detention study evaluating specific locations with fees not to exceed $153,000.00.
