STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Authorize staff to release the Surety Document (Maintenance Bond) from Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland on behalf of Ammons & Blackmon Construction, LLC, for The Estates at The Verandas, Phase 1, in the amount of $140,425.30 which guarantees the workmanship and materials of the roadways and drainage improvements within the public rights-of-way as shown on the approved Final Plat and “As-Built” construction plans.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The workmanship and materials for the roadways and drainage improvements have been inspected and approved in accordance with the Baldwin County Subdivision Regulations.
Previous Commission action/date:
April 5, 2022 - Regarding Subdivision Case No. S-20086 - The Estates at The Verandas, Phase 1, the Commission accepted Gallery Boulevard (1,422.54 ft) and Aria Avenue (721.79 ft) for maintenance and authorized the roads to be added to the County Maintained Road List. The Commission also approved and authorized the Chairman to execute the Subdivision Roadway and Drainage Improvement Acceptance Agreement and accepted the Surety Bond from Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland on behalf of Ammons & Blackmon Construction, LLC, in the amount $140,425.30 to guarantee the workmanship and materials of the roadways and drainage improvements within the public rights-of-way as shown on the approved Final and “As-Built” construction plans.
