STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Adopt Resolution #2024-110 and authorize the Highway Department to submit an application to the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for Alabama Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act (GOMESA) funds for construction of the Gulfway Street Beach Access project; and
2) Authorize the Chairman to execute any other project related documents.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is seeking applications for the 2024 Alabama Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act (GOMESA) funding disbursement. The Gulfway Street Beach Access project has been identified to meet the authorized uses for the GOMESA funding disbursement.
This project meets the Baldwin County Commission Strategic Plan goal of increasing water access and parking.
