Award the bid for Baldwin County Resurfacing Projects 2020: Group #3 - BCR-2020-3 and Group #3RA - BCR-2020-3 to the lowest bidder, John G. Walton Construction Co., Inc., in the bid amount of $2,399,077.57 for Alternative 1 (all labor and materials); Construction Time: 30 working days for each group; and authorize the Chairman to execute the Contracts.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date:
9/20/2019 meeting: 1) Authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for Fiscal Year 2020 Resurfacing Projects (Group 1, Group 2, Group 3 and Group 4) as the design plans are completed for each group; and 2) Authorized the Chairman to execute any project related documents.
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on March 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Four (4) bids were received. The lowest bid was received from John G. Walton Construction Co., Inc., in the bid amount of $2,399,077.57 for Alternate 1 (all labor and materials). The Baldwin County Engineer, Joey Nunnally, has reviewed the bid responses and has submitted the certified Bid Tabulation and a letter recommending that the bid be awarded to the lowest bidder for Alternate 1, John G. Walton Construction Co., Inc., for both groups. Bid Tabulation attached.
