BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date:
10/15/2019 meeting: Approved the AIA contract for the architectural services with Allred Stolarski Architects, PA for the construction of a new Baldwin County Animal Shelter Intake Building in the amount of 6% of the construction cost plus normal reimbursable expenses and authorized the Chairman to execute the Contract.
Background: The Commission approved the construction of a new Animal Shelter intake building on 09/20/2019 with a budget amount of $800,000.00. The Pre-Qualification of the Contractors needs to be advertised before the project can be bid. The Architect, John Stolarski, with Allred Stolarski Architects, PA, is in the process of finalizing the drawings for Commission approval before the bids are sent out. The Architects estimated construction cost for this project is $3,564,024.65. Staff recommends the Commission authorize the Purchasing Director to advertise the Pre-Qualification of Contractors for the project.
