STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
As related to, and as authorized by, the Baldwin County Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Budget (Resolution #2020-126; Resolution #2020-127), execute Agreements with the below indicated entities to appropriate county funds for activities benefiting a myriad of public purposes as set forth within each Agreement, respectively, said entities as follows:
1) Adams and Reese LLP (not to exceed $72,000).
2) Alabama Coastal Foundation ($5,000).
3) Alabama Extension Service/Alabama Cooperative Extension System ($53,854; $852 non-conveyable).
4) Baldwin County Boys Ranch ($8,400).
5) Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance ($380,000).
6) Baldwin County Heritage Museum Association ($3,200).
7) Baldwin County Historic Development Commission ($11,000).
8) Baldwin County Library Cooperative ($90,000; $1,100 non-conveyable; $5,000 non conveyable; $4,500 non-conveyable).
9) Baldwin County Soil and Water Conservation District ($75,500).
10) Bay Minette Rotary Club ($500).
11) Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce ($5,000).
12) Christie Strategy Group (not to exceed $42,000).
13) Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce ($5,000).
14) Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation ($2,000).
15) Mobile Bay National Estuary Program ($75,000).
16) North Baldwin Animal Shelter, Inc. ($20,000).
17) North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce ($5,000).
18) South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce (not to exceed $50,000).
19) Southwest Alabama Workforce Development Council ($25,000).
20) USS Alabama Battleship Commission ($10,000).
21) Van Scoyoc Associates, Inc. (not to exceed $114,000).
The term, respectively, of each Agreement shall commence October 1, 2020 and expire September 30, 2021 and may be terminated per the parameters as set forth therein, respectively.
The Commission may vote to approve all the aforementioned agreements with one vote.

Background: As contained within the Baldwin County Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Budget, there are numerous appropriations approved to be issued to several entities to serve public purposes. Agreements are attached to this agenda item for each entity. Please note, the appropriation to the USS Alabama Battleship Commission has an extra Resolution that must be approved. That Resolution is in a separate agenda item for Commission consideration.
